TIP: Barcelona Metropolitan Transportation TMB has created various kinds of travel cards for tourists (and non-tourists). There are cards for ONE day, that allows the owner to take as many rides in one day, or T10, with 10 rides to be done in several days… This travel cards will make you save up to 90% in transportation!
First of all, it is important to know that the public transportation tickets are divided into areas. The most common is the area 1, which is Barcelona center (except the airport). If you are moving around Barcelona, dont care about the areas and buy the cheapest area, the area 1. If you are going to Sitges or Castelldefells, then you will have to buy more areas.
